Southern Cross Recovery is a premier long-term residential recovery program located in beautiful Valdosta, Georgia. Our comfortable recovery residences are centrally located in a safe, quiet neighborhood which is close to educational, recreational and recovery resources.

Our staff is intimately acquainted with both the challenges of addiction and the rewards of long-term sobriety. Because of this lived experience, we are able to not only point our residents in the right direction, we are also able to walk with them in their journey and model the attitudes and actions which are integral in successful recovery is not only our profession, it is our personal passion.

Our Program

Our program provides a nurturing environment for personal and emotional growth, guiding the individual on the road to recovery while providing the structure, accountability and support which is vital in early sobriety. We provide a one year, step-down program, structured for individuals who have been completely detoxed and are looking to take the next step towards long-term quality sobriety following inpatient or residential treatment.

Premier Men’s Recovery Residences!

Our sober living residences are designed for 6 months to 12 months and are intended for individuals who desire recovery and have previously completed inpatient and/or residential treatment. It uses a time-tested step-down model and 12 Step philosophy to offer the best chance at achieving lasting, high-quality sobriety.

Our Men’s Recovery Houses include:

  • Required Daily AA Meetings
  • Required Work with a Sponsor
  • One-on-One Recovery Guidance
  • 12 Step Groups and Book Studies
  • 24/7 Peer Support
  • Morning Reflection / Introduction to the 11th Step
  • Evening Peer-Led Wrap-up / Introduction to the 10th Step
  • Nearby Recreational, Educational and Employment Opportunities
  • Resident and Family Education
  • Random Drug Screenings

We are very proud of our newly renovated men’s residences. The main recovery house was specifically remodeled and comfortably appointed with our clients in mind to provide a safe, home-like environment.

Highlights of our main facility include:

  • Newly renovated 3,241 square foot main house with 5 bedrooms and 3 ½ baths situated in a quiet, safe residential neighborhood
  • Spacious, individually decorated bedrooms featuring two closets, lots of storage and comfortable new Serta mattresses
  • Large, well-lit bathrooms with double vanities, all with new fixtures and plumbing
  • Comfortable living areas including a living room with large LCD TV, high-speed Wi-Fi and reading room with library
  • Well-lit kitchen with new appliances and lots of counter and cabinet space
  • Large 1 ½ acre lawn with plenty of room for recreation, gardening, or a quiet moment of reflection.
  • Two newly remodeled 1,080 square foot duplexes for step-down clients, each with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom located on campus
  • A separate, newly remodeled 2,000 square foot house, in walking distance of the university, for step-down clients who are enrolled in school or working full-time. It has 3 large bedrooms and two bathrooms.
